That’s great, I’m really glad it is helping even if it’s scary right now! My binder does me well, I keep it on about 18 hours a day, but it is starting to cause some pretty bad pain and a chronic cough lol. I can see how the surgery’s a great change.
I’m still amazed that you can manage to wear it for so long—when I wore mine for more than maybe 10 hours, it’d start to really hurt. As for the chronic cough, one thing that helps that is taking really deep breaths while binding every few hours. It helps clear out your lungs a bit.
But yeah, for the most part top surgery just adds a bit of convenience to your life, in terms of actual changes/use, for lack of a better term. It also removes dysphoria but I see that as more of a medical reason.
